When he is not here at the office, you will find him biking and spending time with his family.

Elissa Fleming, OD, FAAO

Dr. Elissa Fleming has been with Tennessee Eye Care since 2008. She earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Optometry and completed a residency in Geriatrics and Low Vision Rehabilitation. Dr. Fleming is a Fellow in the American Academy of Optometry and active in local and state optometric organizations. When she is not here at the office, you will find her traveling, baking, enjoying college football, and spending time with her family in Knoxville.

Matthew Lowrance, DO

Dr. Matthew Lowrance completed his undergraduate degree in Music Performance from the University of North Georgia in 2001 and earned his Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine at the Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2008. He trained in ophthalmology at Michigan State University and Hillsdale Community Health Center and completed a medical retina fellowship at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute. Dr. Lowrance has numerous publications and patents pending in ophthalmic surgery and medical technology. When he is not here at the office, you will find him in Loudon hanging out with his wife and three children.

David Montgomery, OD

Dr. David Montgomery graduated from Southern College of Optometry in 1978 and served as a staff optometrist at the U.S. Naval Hospital in Philadelphia. He was Chief of Optometry in Okinawa, Japan, and completed his military service with the Tennessee Air National Guard. Dr. Montgomery has worked in the Knoxville area since 1988 and is a member of several optometric associations. When he is not here at the office, you will find him involved in church activities, spending time with family, riding horses, boating, and enjoying general aviation.

Monica Perry, OD

Dr. Monica Perry grew up in Kingsport, TN, and received her bachelor’s degree from East Tennessee State University in 2011. She graduated as valedictorian from Southern College of Optometry in 2016 and completed a residency at the James H. Quillen VA Medical Center. Dr. Perry has been practicing in the greater Knoxville area since 2017 and specializes in treating ocular conditions like macular degeneration, glaucoma, and diabetic eye disease. When she is not here at the office, you will find her hiking, gardening, photographing, and spending time with family.

Timothy Stout, MD

Dr. Timothy Stout graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City with a medical degree in 1995. He completed his residency in ophthalmology at the University of Kansas and a fellowship in vitreoretinal surgery at Retina and Vitreous Associates in Lexington, KY. He has practiced at Discover Vision Centers and Silverstein Eye Center in Kansas City and is now part of Tennessee Eye Care in Knoxville. When he is not here at the office, you will find him enjoying sports, music, and outdoor activities with his girlfriend, Laura.

Melissa Thomas, OD

Dr. Melissa Thomas is a Knoxville native who graduated Cum Laude from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville in 2007 and from Southern College of Optometry in 2011 with clinical honors. She has participated in international mission trips and volunteers locally with the Lion’s Club. Dr. Thomas has a particular interest in managing dry eye disease, diabetic eye disease, and macular degeneration. When she is not here at the office, you will find her spending time with her husband and son, cheering on the Vols, relaxing on the lake, and vacationing at the beach.
