Accessibility Statement
We're committed to making our website usable for everyone.
Tennessee Eye Care is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We work to make our website usable to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability.
Our Standard
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at the AA level. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, motor, and cognitive impairments.
What We've Done
Our website has been built with accessibility in mind. Ongoing work includes:
- Semantic HTML and consistent page structure so screen readers can navigate content
- Text alternatives for images and non-text content
- Sufficient color contrast between text and background
- Keyboard navigation support, including a "skip to main content" link on every page
- Descriptive labels on all form fields
- Responsive design that works across screen sizes and zoom levels
Known Limitations
We are aware that some legacy content — particularly older blog posts migrated from our previous website — may not yet meet every WCAG 2.1 AA success criterion. We are actively reviewing and updating this content.
Third-party tools embedded on our site (such as the online booking widget and interactive map) are provided by external vendors. We work with those vendors to prioritize accessibility, but we do not control their code directly.
Feedback and Assistance
If you have trouble accessing any part of our website, or if you need information in an alternative format, please let us know. We are happy to help you schedule appointments, answer questions, or provide documents by phone or in person.

Please include the page URL and a description of the issue so we can respond quickly. We aim to acknowledge accessibility feedback within two business days.
Ongoing Effort
Accessibility is an ongoing effort, not a one-time project. We review our site periodically and update it as standards evolve, as new content is added, and as our patients tell us where we can do better.
