About Dr. Laney
Dr. Katherine Laney is an optometrist at Tennessee Eye Care, seeing patients at our Lenoir City and Powell offices. She has worked closely alongside our physicians since 2001, and many of our patients and team members already know and trust her.
With more than two decades of experience in medical optometry, Dr. Laney has provided pre- and post-operative surgical care and comprehensive eye exams throughout her career. She has collaborated with surgeons and cared for patients across all stages of treatment.
Dr. Laney earned her Doctor of Optometry degree summa cum laude from the Southern College of Optometry and holds a Master of Medical Science in Molecular Medicine. She was named Tennessee Optometric Physician of the Year in 2022 in recognition of her contributions to the field.
Known for her patient-centered approach and her dedication to education for patients and teams alike, Dr. Laney is committed to helping every patient understand their eye health and treatment options.
